ok so where do i begin? this anime felt like a fresh breath of air ngl! the story was pretty weak towards the end, mostly because the plot got repetitive and you knew someone was about to die. but other than the ending, the first half of the anime had great potential and was well executed! the idea was really cool. i have never watched something like that. the characters are enjoyable, especially the ones that were introduced during the first half. fushi is also such a complex character. i love him. the opening was really beautiful, i have to say!! same goes for the art. overall i just think the first half of the anime was pretty much perfect but lost me during the ending. mainly because it got repetitive and it lost emotion.

i could go on and on about why this anime is my favourite. let’s start with the story. my only complaint about the story is the ending. that is not because a special someone died but rather because it felt extremely rushed. the whole arc that contained blanca was heartbreaking but a little useless to the plot. there weren’t any plot holes i could think of so that’s why i rate it that high. the story is also unique! really love the mysterious vibe besides the lovestory. as for the artstyle, well it was a 90‘s manga so naturally they couldn’t just change the style. it’s actually pretty cool and i lite it. the characters were amazing! absolutely well written, especially ash lynx! it was just so painful having to watch these great characters suffer. no anime made me feel this depressed after finishing it. truly masterpiece

i have a love/ hate relationship with this anime. although it is one of my faves, i have some problems with it. similar to bnha. i am an absolute sucker for the idea! like it’s so creative but poorly executed. making mori, for instance, a pedophile while the actual writer wasn’t feels just weird to me. however, another good part were the characters. oh god! there were so many of them and the author still managed to write them well! big fan of dazai‘s personality and character. well the story was a little confusing in the first season and got repetitive in the manga but the second one made me forget about that! it was just that good! love the character dynamics and whether i ship some characters or not doesn’t matter right now. it’s simply a fact that some dynamics were gold!
